Don’t go changin’ to try and please me:

Q: Is there an official site or web page good for artifact information and research?

A: As it happens, Missy is working on such a thing for the Herald RIGHT NOW. We think it will be done by the end of July. We didn’t do it sooner because there was a brilliant fan-made version that was better than what we were planning – but there have been many changes since that one was created. We’re going to take care of getting the best, most recent information posted.

Q: I’ve been testing the single target Cure All (49 spec Regrowth) and it causes a delay timer of 2 seconds at the end of casting.  Meaning that after the spell casts, I can’t cast a spell for 2 seconds.  It specifically says “You must wait 2 seconds to cast a spell!”.  Is this a bug?

A: Yes, thanks for reporting it. Watch the patch notes for the fix.

Q: Is Purge supposed to set the timer if you have no ill effects ? It used to go off but do nothing if you had no ill effects before 1.84 in effect you could cast it over and over. However now it goes off no matter what.

A: Bug, and one we fixed this morning, thanks to you 🙂

Q: About the lastest Patch notes:

Druid

– The top tier of Wolf, Bear and Lynx pets will now be slightly higher levels. (85% of your level instead of 75%.) The top tier of Wolf will also perform combat styles similar to the Bear and Lynx.

How does that work?  I have a level 50 druid with 32 points in Nature, and all the pets he summons are still level 37 which is 75% of the characters level 50 standing.  Is there something I need to do to see the 85% mentioned in the patch notes?

A: The top tier of pets in this sense require a spec of 45, not 32. Sorry…

I had a bunch of these, so I apologize if the patch note was unclear.

Q: The Ranger RR5 ablility Desperate bowman. The stun component of this ability is negated by Ceremonial bracer artifact stun feedback. Is that intentional??

A: Intended, says the Content King. I had a lot of feedback about RR5 abilities in general at the Ohio Roadtrip last night. We do track every scrap of feedback we get through the feedback forms, and pass on your feelings to the dev team.

Q: I was playing my paladin and I noticed that the celerity chant and magic ablative are on the same timer. Is this a bug or a nerf?

A: Neither – that was the way it was designed and implemented, says the Big Wheel of class design.

Q: I sent a comment last night about necros: I’ve noticed that after summoning the pet, when I go to put back on items with resists they don’t show up only stats will increase now with items but resists stay the same as when you summoned the pet? Why can’t I get my resist items to work after pet is made?

A: Normally I go through and add punctuation. You guys can be pretty passionate when you send me and my team these feedback forms! In this case, every punctuation mark I tried to add had the potential to drastically change the meaning of the question. I thought I had best post it as I sent it to the dev team to be sure I didn’t mess something up in translation.

I was told this is a bug under investigation.

Q: I’d like to use the damage add charge from my Darkspire Mighty Bracer, but the thing is quite a pain in the Tweety (gosh, I’m so funny). The damage add buff only lasts 30 seconds but is on the same timer as other charges and can only be used while out of combat? Is this as intended? If so, how about getting it on its own timer and making it usable while in combat?

A: Ahem. 😉 I’ll skip the comments I could make, and give you the answer from Big Wheel instead: “Intended and yeah, all items use the same timer for the most part unless they have an individual use timer.

“Universally there should be a 60 -90 second duration timer between any and all item /use or /use2/.”

Thank all the small gods of computer games that the quest journal issues were resolved before the long weekend. I was going to stab myself in the face with a fork if we didn’t get today’s fixes in.

I had a heck of a good time in Ohio last night. We have what I think is genuinely the best community around. Nobody can top a Camelot player for pure fun factor, and I’m darn privileged to be part of the whole phenomenon. I love meeting people at live events, even you, Bill. The questions you guys gave us to write down are in the hands of the producer, and answers should come… Soon, TM. But the answers will come, either on the grab bag or in the patch notes.

I got a bunch of emails last night about UO. With the EA thing in progress, some bright people noticed that UO and Camelot could become siblings. But I’m sorry, gang, I have no comment that I can make. Why? Let’s ask Mark, who runs the Mythic shop: “In terms of UO, while Mythic has been acquired by EA, we are still awaiting regulatory approval of the deal.  Until that time, any discussions and/or rumors regarding UO, Mythic or even Bigfoot are a bit premature.”

Some of you attempted a slushie intervention, but it failed. I’m going to have one now with TWO umbrellas, and don’t try to stop me. I’m taking that long weekend, so I’ll be seeing you here next Wednesday.

Now, don’t forget: You put on the sunscreen, and THEN you drink the slushie. Be good, and if you can’t be good, be careful.
